Amy Murphy Named Social Change Maker of the Year: LGBTQ by Stevie Women in Business
I am deeply honored to share some exciting news: I have been named Social Change Maker of the Year: LGBTQ in the Stevie® Awards for Women in Business!
This recognition is for my submission, “Amy Murphy Pioneering Acceptance: Normalizing the Transgender Family.” It reflects not only my own journey but also the stories, advocacy, and visibility that I have worked tirelessly to bring forward on behalf of transgender families everywhere.
The Stevie Awards for Women in Business are among the world’s premier honors for women executives, entrepreneurs, and leaders. This year, more than 1,500 nominations from 48 countries were submitted across categories, reviewed by over 190 professionals worldwide. From these nominations, finalists were selected and awarded Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevies based on the judges’ scoring. To be named among this group of extraordinary women is both humbling and empowering.
This award isn’t just about me—it’s about every transgender person and family whose existence challenges outdated norms and paves the way for acceptance. Recognition like this helps push the conversation forward, reminding the world that our stories matter and that love, resilience, and family come in many forms.
I am grateful to the judges, to the Stevie Awards, and to everyone who has supported me along the way. Most of all, I’m inspired to keep moving forward—to use this recognition as fuel to expand awareness, build bridges, and continue pioneering acceptance.
Thank you for celebrating this moment with me. Together, we’re not just changing the conversation—we’re changing the world.
